The Rule of Odd Numbers

Odd numbers of flowers look more natural and appealing. Use 3, 5, or 7 stems.

Vary Your Heights

Cut stems to different lengths — tall focal flowers, medium supporting blooms, and low filler stems.

Basic Colour Theory

Monochromatic: Different shades of one colour (elegant, sophisticated)

Analogous: Colours next to each other on the wheel (harmonious)

Complementary: Opposite colours (bold, striking)

Spring: Tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, ranunculus

Summer: Sunflowers, dahlias, zinnias, lavender
